Fabien Giraud and Ida Soulard will discuss their forthcoming book and installation "Marfa Stratum", which explores the geologic history of the Permian Basin, sheaf theory (via Alexander Grothendieck), speculative realism (via Quentin Meillassoux) and catastrophe theory (via Rene Thom). Fabien is an artist, based in Paris, whose works have appeared at the Pompidou, Site Santa Fe, and many other locations.
